German Bundesliga heavyweight, Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Jonah Kusi Asare in the ongoing January transfer window.
The 16-year-old forward joined the Bavarians on €5.3 million from Swedish Allsvanskan outfit AIK after successful negotiations.
The German record league champions are keen on nurture the youngster at their youth academy before unleashing him to first-team action.
“Jonah Kusi-Asare is a young striker with enormous potential. He consciously chose FC Bayern because we convinced him of our approach to building and developing players. We are delighted to have him as part of FC Bayern’s future,” Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Christoph Freund said.
Kusi-Asare maintains eligibility to switch allegiances to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for Swedish U16 national youth team.
