English-born Ghanaian, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, has sealed a move to League One side Charlton Athletic.
The 19-year-old joins the Addicks from English Premier League side Crystal Palace on a season long loan.
Before joining Charlton, Rak-Sakyi also signed a new long-term deal with the Eagles, which will keep him at Crystal Palace until 2027.
“It feels really good to be a Charlton player. I’ve been waiting a long time for this and I’m just thankful to God and thankful to everyone for making it happen. I’m excited to get started,” he said.
“There were a lot of clubs interested but I chose Charlton because it’s close to home, the fans are really good, the club has a big history and it gives a platform for young players to express themselves.”
Charlton manager Ben Garner is delighted with the arrival of the teen sensation.
“Jes is an exciting addition to our squad. He is a talented player who adds to the creativity and attacking threat that we have. We are very much looking forward to working with him and hopefully he can have a big impact this season,” he said.
Rak-Sakyi joins compatriot Jojo Wallocot at Charlton.
