Ghanaian trio of Dennis Appiah, Emmanuel Sowah and Frank Acheampong excelled for Anderlecht as the Royal Club recorded an emphatic 4-1 win over OH Leuven in a pre-season rehearsal game on Wednesday.
Appiah and Acheampong started the game for the former Pro league champions while youngster Emmanuel Sowah started the game from the bench.
Sowah, a former Dreams FC youth team player, was introduced on the hour mark while Acheampong was replaced on 70 minutes.
Appiah lasted the entire period of the game as Acheampong scored the third goal of the clash on the 62nd minute.
The French-born defender was acquired from Anderlecht from French Ligue 1 side Caen after excelling in the French top-flight last season – becoming the only outfield player to play every minute of the entire season. He is a former AS Monaco player.
Sowah was signed to the Anderlecht Reserves squad but his sterling performance earned him a place in the Anderlecht first team squad for the upcoming season.
