Former Bechem United attacker Kwaku Osei Bonsu was on target for Caracas FC on Sunday night in matchday 14 of the Venezuela Primera division.
Caracas had a poor first half as they went into the break with a two-goal deficit. Striker Samson Akinyoola missed a penalty kick for the home side in the 59th minute.
Bonsu scored a consolation goal in the 79th minute after the visitors failed to properly deal with a corner kick from Eduardo Fereira to give Caracas a glimmer of hope.
The 21-year-old found himself unmarked in front of the goalkeeper bundling home a header from Rubert Quijada. His goal wasn’t enough as Universidad repelled the home side’s attack to take the maximum three points
This is Osei Bonsu’s third league goal for Caracas in 9 appearances, making him a joint top-scoring for his club despite missing the first five matches.
