Ghanaian striker Kwame Karikari is on the verge of leaving Swedish giants AIK Stockholm to move to Turkey, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old will arrive in Turkey on Monday to sign for second tier club Balikesirspor, insiders have told Ghana’s leading football news outlet.
GHANAsoccernet.com understands that he will sign a one-year loan deal before a permanent contract is signed at the end of the term.
The Ghanaian attacker was a key player for AIK last season but since the start of this term he has been left on the bench which has forced his agents to look for a move elsewhere.
Karikari joined AIK before the 2011 season.
He scored eight goals for the club and made the greatest impact in the Europa League last year when he scored against both CSKA Moscow and PSV Eindhoven.
