Ghanaian players abroad were back in action over the weekend, with some putting up stellar performances.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Jeremie Frimpong won the German Bundesliga title for the first time in the club’s history.

German-born Ghanaian Jamie Leweling scored his fourth goal of the season for Stuttgart in their 3-0 win over Frankfurt.

Tariq Lamptey missed Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Burnley because of injury. The same for Antoine Semenyo in Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw against Man United.

Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp were second half substitutes for Crystal Palace as they held on to beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield.

Thomas Partey was an unused substitute for Arsenal as they suffered a damaging 2-0 loss to Aston Villa that stopped them from going top of the Premier League.

Abdul Mumin and Rayo Vallecano have kept a third consecutive clean sheet in their goalless draw against Getafe.

Iñaki Williams played the full 90 minutes for Athletic Club as they held back to draw 1-1 against Villarreal.

Baba Iddrisu was an unused substitute for Almeria as they drew 2-2 with Real Sociedad.

Patric Pfeiffer came off the bench for Augsburg after the 70th minute as they won 2-0 against Union Berlin.

Jamie Leweling scored for Stuttgart in their 3-0 win over Frankfurt. That was his fourth goal of the season.

Jeremie Frimpong was introduced after the hour mark as Bayer Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen 5-0 to win the Bundesliga title with five games to spare. He made 27 appearances, scored eight goals and provided seven assists.

Emmanuel Gyasi played the entire game for Empoli as they lost 1-0 to Lecce.

Ibrahim Sulemana played the entire match for Cagliari as they picked a 2-2 draw against Inter Milan.

Ligue 1 round 29

Salis Abdul Samed missed Lens’ 2-1 defeat to Metz because of injury.

Alidu Seidu was not used in Rennes’ 2-1 defeat to Toulouse.

Andre Ayew lasted 88 minutes for Le Havre as they lost 1-0 at home to Nantes.
