Ghanaian midfielder Baba Alhassan claims Ivory Coast and Manchester City legend Yaya Toure is his role model, and he strives to emulate him.
“For me, I like Yaya Toure, he is my role model, now when you come to my team my teammates call me Yaya Toure,” Alhassan told Sportsworldghana.com.
“Yaya Toure was a top-notch midfielder during his playing days and I followed him so much and that is why I model my game after him.” He added.
The 22-year-old joined Hermannstadt on a three-year contract in October 2020 and has been a key contributor to manager Marius Măldărăşanu’s side with some impressive performances.
Baba previously played under Marius Măldărăşanu at Real Valladolid.
