Ghanaian attacker Patrick Twumasi was on the scoresheet for Maccabi Netanya when they walloped leaders Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli Liga ha’Al on Saturday.
Twumasi scored and assisted another as Netanya recorded a resounding 3-0 victory over Haifa at the Netanya Stadium in the Championship group play-off fixture.
The hosts got their noses in front in the 21st minute through the Ghanaian forward who was set up by Serbian forward Igor Zlatanovic.
Twumasi turned to be the provider for Zlatanovic to double the advantage for Netanya on the stroke of halftime.
Netanya completed their mauling of Haifa in the 61st minute with another goal from Zlatanovic after connecting a pass from Ivorian midfielder Parfait Guiagon.
Compatriot Godsway Donyoh played 45 minutes for the visitors following his substitution at the halftime.
Twumasi has now scored 4 goals in 10 appearances for Netanya in the Israeli top-flight since joining them in February from German side Hannover 96.
