Ghanaian forward Braydon Manu returns to Bundesliga action against Bochum after lengthy injury layoff

After a lengthy break due to a serious ankle injury, German-born Ghanaian forward Braydon Manu made a successful comeback in SV Darmstadt 98’s friendly match during the international break.

His impressive performance has paved the way for his immediate return to the Bundesliga.

Manu, who was sidelined for approximately three and a half months, was included in the starting lineup for SV Darmstadt 98 in their clash against VfL Bochum. This marked his highly anticipated return to competitive football. The match, held at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion, concluded in a 2-2 draw.

Manu played the first half before being substituted in the 46th minute. The match saw Philipp Hofmann scoring a brace for VfL Bochum in the 30th and 48th minutes. SV Darmstadt 98’s goals were scored by Tim Skarke in the 62nd minute and Oscar Vilhelmsson in the 76th minute.

Manu’s return to the pitch is a significant boost for SV Darmstadt 98, and his performance in the friendly match during the international break and the game against Bochum suggests that he is ready to make an impact in the Bundesliga.
