Ghanaian duo shine in IF Elfsborg’s Europa League win

Ghanaian players Michael Baidoo and Abdullai Jalal both made significant contributions in IF Elfsborg’s 5-2 victory over Paphos FC in the Europa League play-off.

The game began with Timothy Ouma scoring the opening goal in the 23rd minute. Two minutes later, Sebastian Holmen equalized with an own goal. Vlad Dragomir then gave Paphos FC a lead just before halftime.

In the second half, Baidoo levelled the score at 2-2 within two minutes.

Andri Baldursson subsequently put IF Elfsborg ahead then Abdullai Jalal extended the lead with a goal from Baidoo’s assist in the 57th minute, and Arber Zeneli completed the scoring in the 85th minute.

Baidoo played 63 minutes, while Abdullai was on the field for 34 minutes as the win ensures IF Elfsborg’s progression to the next stage of the continental competition.
