Ghanaian defender Patrick Pfeiffer confirms he is staying at Darmstadt ahead of new season

Ghanaian defender Patrick Pfeifer has confirmed he will stay at German Bundesliga 2 outfit Darmstadt 98 ahead of the new season.

The German-Ghanaian became a transfer target for several clubs this summer.

But according to the 22-year-old, he will stay at Darmstadt for another year to aid his development.

“It’s true that one or the other club has asked about me. But Darmstadt 98 made it clear to me some time ago that they are planning with me and I think that it is helps me for my development to play at least another year in the 2nd division.”

Pfeifer current contract with the German outfit will expire in the summer of 2023 but he has disclosed he will not extend his contract after expiration.

The Ghanaian international want to play at the highest level.

“The ambition to play at a higher level.” he said.
