After months of anticipation and bureaucratic hurdles, Ghanaian defender Konadu Yiadom has finally touched down in Ukraine to embark on his much-awaited journey with his new club, Kryvbas KR.
Yiadom, who secured a season-long loan move to the Kryvyi Rih-based club from Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak last September, encountered delays in his transition due to challenges in obtaining travel documentation.
However, the persistent defender’s patience has finally paid off as he landed in the Eastern European country on Wednesday morning to join his new teammates.
The 23-year-old’s arrival comes as a significant relief for both the player and his new club, who have been eagerly awaiting his addition to bolster their defensive lineup.
Yiadom, a product of the renowned WAFA SC academy, made a lasting impression during his stint with Hearts of Oak, featuring prominently in 20 matches across various competitions and netting two crucial goals in the previous season.
