German defender of Ghanaian descent, Gideon Jung has confirmed that he will stay at Greuther Furth after the club is relegated from the German Bundesliga.
Despite gaining promotion with a lot of promise last season, Greuther Furth could not live up to expectations.
Due to the team’s inability to compete, it finds itself bottom of the German Bundesliga standings and heading for relegation at the end of the season.
Speaking in an interview, Gideon Jung says he will continue to play for Greuther Furth in the German Bundesliga 2.
“I would be happy if I could return the trust placed in me in the new season and want to prepare myself in the best possible way,” the 27-year-of said.
At Greuther Furth, Gideon Jung is contracted to the club until 2023.
The player who recently regained his fitness has vowed to continue working hard to ensure he manages to help the club whenever he is needed.
