Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, Derrick Luckassen is in talks with Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv about a possible transfer.
Luckassen turned down offers from France and Greece to start talks with Tel Aviv as he seeks to leave the Dutch side PSV.
PSV have agreed to let Luckassen leave on a permanent basis, but they want to profit from his departure.
The talks are said to be going well, and an agreement is only a matter of time.
The Israeli transfer window does not close until September 28, so Luckassen joining Maccabi Tel Aviv will not be a problem.
The 27-year-old joined PSV from AZ five years ago for around five million euros.
That did not appear to be a large sum for the footballer but has failed to impress at Eindhoven.
He’s been loaned out four times in the last few years and can now leave permanently.
The Israelis have taken the lead after two league games in their league, but the team is no longer in Europe.
They were defeated by OGC Nice in the Conference League preliminary round, allowing the club to concentrate on its domestic performance.
