Hereford FC have completed the signing of England born Ghanaian centre-back Keenan Quansah, the elder brother of Liverpool and England defender Jarell Quansah, as they prepare for the new season.
The experienced defender joins from National League North side Southport FC, where he spent the past three seasons establishing himself as a key figure.
In his debut campaign, Quansah made 45 appearances and quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his calmness under pressure and uncompromising defensive style.
Prior to his stint at Southport, the 27-year-old featured for Stalybridge Celtic and began his career at Accrington Stanley. Much of his football journey has played out across clubs in the North West of England.
At Hereford, Quansah’s leadership and non-league experience are expected to anchor the Bulls’ backline. His arrival is seen as a significant addition to the squad, bringing steel and composure to the defence as the club looks to challenge higher up the table.
The move to Edgar Street not only strengthens Hereford’s squad but also shines a light on the growing football legacy of the Quansah family, with both brothers now making strides in their respective careers.
