Ghana international Yaw Yeboah has been retained by Columbus Crew for the 2024 season after helping the club to clinch 2023 Major League Soccer Cup.
Yeboah played a pivotal role when Columbus Crew defeated Los Angeles FC 2-1 in the final of the MLS at the weekend. He registered his name on the scoresheet to propel his side to victory in the highly competitive clash.
Ahead of the new season, Columbus Crew have announced 21-man squad to embark on preseason with the Ghanaian attacker no exception. Meanwhile, seven players have departed the club and won’t be part of their squad for the 2024 season.
“Winning MLS Cup in front of our home fans was the culmination of the tireless efforts of our team, staff and the entire organization, and we are so proud of what we were able to accomplish,” said Crew President Tim Bezbatchenko
“As we celebrate the Cup, we also turn our attention towards the 2024 season, which is just around the corner. We are pleased to welcome back the core of the squad and look forward to getting preseason underway next month.”
Yeboah joined the MLS side in 2021 from Polish club Wisla Krakow and has since been an integral member of the team.
