Ghana U23 posted a 2-0 win over Liberia in the first leg of their first qualifying round 2016 Olympic Games tie on Sunday.

The Black Meteors gained first leg advantage thanks to goals from Dauda Mohammed and Kennedy Ashia.

Mohammed’s opener was in the 24th minute and Ashia, who plays for Liberty Professionals, added the second on 56 minutes.

The return leg will be played in Ghana in two weeks time due to Liberia’s inability to host the match after Ebola ravaged the country.
