Ghana striker Inaki Williams is poised to end his goal drought as he prepares to face Mexico in an international friendly.
The Athletic Bilbao star, who switched his allegiance to play for Ghana in May 2022, acknowledges the arduous yet rewarding journey of representing his adopted nation.
Williams, who has not found the net in his previous nine appearances for Ghana, remains determined to make his mark.
With a forthcoming friendly match against Mexico in Charlotte, he sees it as a crucial opportunity to score his first goal in the Ghanaian jersey.
Despite the challenges of adapting to a new team and limited playing time with his new teammates, Williams has embraced the experience. He expresses his love for the game and his commitment to the Ghanaian national team, a sentiment warmly received by fans.
‘’For is it’s a very important match. I think the Ghanaian people support us and I am going to do everything in this match to score my first goal’’ Inaki said.
‘’It’s not been easy for me because I don’t have a lot of matches with my team mates but this is football. I enjoy the football; I enjoy the games so I am going to do everything to score my first goal’’.
‘’Mexico have very hardworking people with good players. This match won’t be easy but Ghana has got very good players and we are going to fight to win the match’’ he added.
