Ghana international, Emmanuel Boateng put up a fantastic display for Rio Ave on Sunday evening and helped the team to defeat Boavista by a lone goal.
The former UD Levante striker started for his team today when the side hosted the matchday 12 opponent of the 2022/23 Liga Portugal season.
While both teams would play very well in the first half, neither side could score and had to settle for a goalless draw at the end of the break.
In the second half, Rio Ave played better and managed to get across the finish line with a win thanks to the massive support from the home fans.
The only goal of the game was scored by Ghana forward Emmanuel Boateng. The strike was presented with a chance in the 64th minute and made no mistake.
He fired his effort and found the back of the net to propel Rio Ave to an important 1-0 win in the Liga Portugal.
The striker now has four goals after making 8 league appearances this season.
