Ghana Premier League returns after two-week break

The Premier League will return on Saturday 14 December after a two-week break, with some intriguing matches to whet our appetite this weekend.

The Ghanaian top-flight went on a planned break to enable all participants in football to perform their civic duties in the national General Elections  held on December 7, 2024.

Eight matches will take place across the venues on Saturday December 14, with the country’s Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak set for Sunday December 15, 2024.

Vision FC welcome Medeama SC to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday aiming to return to winning ways.  Kick off 15:00 GMT

Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 host Heart of LionsNations FC travel to the Sogakope to battle struggling Accra Lions at the WAFA Park while Legon Citiesentertain Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Karela United host Gold Stars FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, Nsoatreman FC entertain Dreams FC at home,  Berekum Chelsea face off against Aduana FC in the Bono derby at the Golden City Park, while Basake Holy Stars host Young Apostles at the Ampain A. A. K II Sports Arena.

Matchweek 13 concludes with a Sunday afternoon fixture involving giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. The epic clash will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday December 15.
