Ghana Premier League: Legon Cities vs Bechem United- Preview

Legon Cities will hope to return to winning ways when they host Bechem United in match day 13 of the Premier League at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday December 14, 2024.

It’s been an inconsistent season for the Royals who had looked to be getting themselves back on track with 3 wins and 2 defeats in their last five league matches. They are currently occupying the 17th position in the relegation zone with 11 points, having scored 10 and conceded the most goals (18). Legon Cities have won their last three successive home league matches prior to this encounter.

Three consecutive wins and two consecutive draws in the last five outings have seen the Hunters occupying the 5th position in the table with 20 points, having scored 10 and conceded 7. United will be keen to record their second away victory on Friday against a side they’ve never lost to away from home since 2021.

Legon Cities have played Bechem United four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with three ending in a draw and Bechem United winning one.

In the 2020/21 season, Legon Cities drawn 1-1 with Bechem United, drawn goalless in the 2021/22 season, suffered a 1-3 defeat in the 2022/23 season and recoded a 1-1 draw again in the 2023/24 season.
