Former Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko has refuted claims the Ghana Premier League lacks quality players to make it more competitive.
Tanko, who has been appointed as the head coach of the Black Meteors of Ghana took charge of Accra Lions in the just ended season.
He played a huge role in the club’s survival in the Ghana Premier League this season.
In an interview, the former Cameroon assistant coach insisted the league has got a lot qualify players.
“Its terms of quality we all know we have in the league. Again, the problems we are facing isn’t new, everyone is very much aware of these problems. I hope we stop things that is not related to the game in order to improve our football, in terms of talent we have a lot here” he said.
Ibrahim Tanko, who is the technical director of Accra Lions will hope to make a meaningful impact with the side in the 2022/23 league season.
