Bibiani Gold Stars have claimed the top spot in the Ghana Premier League after a 2-1 win against Heart of Lions at Duns Park on Tuesday.
The Green and Yellow team secured their goals through Samuel Kumi in the 14th minute and Gideon Anaba, who made it 2-0 just before the end of the first half.
The Lions put up a fierce fight in the second half, with Nana Kwame Oppong scoring in the 60th minute to make it 2-1.
Despite their efforts, they were unable to restore parity, as the match ended with the home side claiming the win.
This victory propels Gold Stars to the top of the table with 44 points, while Heart of Lions sit in third place with 40 points.
Up next for Gold Stars is a clash against Dreams FC, while Heart of Lions take on Asante Kotoko.
