Forward Richard Danso scored a late goal to deny Hearts of Oak from taking all three points against Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

The Phobians were in desperate need on a win after going three matches without a victory.

Hamza Issah scored his sixth goal of the season to put Hearts in front in the 9th minute.

Bashiru Rahim’s side were on their way to securing a win until Richard Danso connected well from a delivery with a first time effort which was poorly dealt with by goalkeeper Richmond Ayi.

The 26-year-old, who was also culpable for Kotoko’s third goal in the Super Clash last weekend, was spotted apologizing to the supporters.

The draw leaves them in ninth place with 17 points and have an regional derby against Great Olympics in their next outing.

For Nations FC, the stalemate ended their run of five consecutive victories as they sit in fourth place with 24 points. Up next for the Abrankese side is against Bechem United.
