Asante Kotoko SC striker Albert Amoah scored in the dying embers to claim three points over Hearts of Oak in the super clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Phobians backline had a busy afternoon as goalkeeper Benjamin Asare rescued the team with crucial saves.

But they could not maintain their discipline further after a miscommunication between Asare and defender Kevin Asibey gifted Amoah with the sole effort of rolling the ball into an empty net.

Hearts of Oak sit 7th on the league standings with 19 points after 13 games and will host Berekum Chelsea in the nations capital next week.

Kotoko SC jumped to 6th with 21 points after the crucial win and will face Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf in their next fixture.
