Ghana international, Emmanuel Lomotey featured for his Malmo FF side on Thursday night when the team played against Union Berlin in the Europa League.
The former Black Stars regular was named in the matchday squad of the Swedish club today but missed out on a starting role.
In the final 10 minutes of the encounter, he was introduced into the game in the 81st minute to help his team see out the game.
Four minutes later, he committed a foul that attracted a yellow card. In injury time, he received a second yellow card before he was subsequently sent off to the dressing room.
A few minutes before he received the red card, Union Berlin scored through Robin Knoche to eventually secured a 1-0 victory at the end of the 90 minutes.
For Emmanuel Lomotey, the night ended disappointingly for him and he will be hoping to bounce back stronger during the weekend when the Swedish league continued.
