Ghanaian left-back David Oduro has joined French club FC Annecy from Barca Atletic, completing a move to the Ligue 2 side on 22 August 2026.
The 20-year-old has signed a contract with Annecy that runs until 30 June 2028. Oduro, who is left-footed and stands 1.74m tall, moves to France after two years with Barca Atletic.
Oduro joined the Spanish club from Ghanaian side Accra Lions in August 2024 for €150,000. He had previously progressed from Accra Lions Under-17s to the senior team, making the move in August 2022.
His career record includes 50 Premier League appearances, with one goal and six assists. He has also played in Spain’s Segunda Federacion and Primera Federacion, as well as the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup and UEFA Youth League.
Oduro was part of the FC Barcelona UEFA Under-19 side that won the UEFA Youth League in the 2024-25 season. He made one appearance in the competition during that campaign.
The move gives Annecy a Ghanaian defender who has played primarily at left-back and arrives after a period in Barcelona’s system. His switch to the French club marks the latest step in a career that began with Accra Lions before taking him to Spain.
Oduro’s arrival also represents a move into Ligue 2, with Annecy becoming the third senior club of his career. He joins the club at the age of 20 and is contracted through the end of the 2027-28 season.
The transfer was completed on 22 August, with Oduro leaving Barca Atletic to join FC Annecy.
