Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is has prayed for the swift return of his injured Black Stars teammates ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Andre Ayew is the latest Ghana player to have been hit with an injury.
The Olympique Marseille star suffered a knee injury while in action for Ghana in the 2-1 loss to Egypt in the second-leg World Cup playoff.
The Black Stars however secured qualification to next year’s tournament in Brazil with a 7-3 aggregate scoreline haven smashed the Pharaohs 6-1 in the first leg encounter in Kumasi.
Ayew now joins Black Stars regulars; Isaac Vorsah and John Boye currently on the injury list.
Others like Rabiu Mohammed and Jonathan Mensah are also just returning from injuries.
And the Ghana goalkeeper wishes his injured and recovering colleagues a quick return to full fitness ahead of the World Cup next June.
“Injury is always a difficult situation to deal with but I believe the players who are currently out will return strongly to help the team,†Dauda told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“We need all players fit and ready to help the Black Stars team going into the World Cup and I can only wish my colleagues a speedy recovery.
“Players like Andre [Ayew], [Isaac] Vorsah and the rest have been hit by injuries but I know they are very strong players and will return even stronger.
“It is also good news that Rabiu and Jona [Jonathan Mensah] have returned. Like I said all players are important for the team.â€
Ghana will most likely have its fullest set of players – barring anymore injuries – for the World Cup in Brazil.
