Ghana international, Kwabena Owusu was one of the top performing players of Qarabag FK on Thursday when the team opened its campaign in the Group Phase of this season’s Uefa Europa League competition.

This evening, SC Freiburg hosted Qarabag FK in a Group G encounter of the Europa League.
Having started the game for the visitors, Kwabena Owusu put up a good performance but it was not enough to save his side from a defeat.
Goals from Vincenzo Grifo and Ritsu Doan in the first 15 minutes propelled SC Freiburg to a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
The only consolation goal for Qarabag was scored by Marko Vesovic with an assist from Ghana attacker Kwabena Owusu.
On the matchday, Black Stars midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh featured for the German Bundesliga club.
