Ghana Football Association reschedules Women’s FA Cup fixtures for Black Princesses’ All African Games participation

The Competitions department of the Ghana Football Association has announced significant rescheduling in the remaining rounds of the 2023/24 Women’s FA Cup matches, attributing the adjustments to accommodate the Black Princesses’ engagement in the upcoming 13th All African Games slated to take place in Accra from March 8th to March 23rd, 2024.

While the round of 16 fixtures remains unaffected and scheduled for March 1st to 4th, 2024, the subsequent stages have witnessed alterations.

The quarter-final matches, initially planned for a different timeline, are now set to occur between April 29th and May 3rd, 2024.

Furthermore, the semi-final stage has been shifted to May 3rd, 2024, with the final now earmarked for the weekend of June 7th to 10th, 2024.

The Black Princesses of Ghana have been drawn in group A alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia in the Women’s draw for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023. The draw was held in Abidjan on February 1, 2024.

Ghana will open its campaign against Tanzania before taking on Uganda and Ethiopia in the other Group A games.

All stakeholders are urged to duly note these changes to ensure seamless execution of the Women’s FA Cup competition.
