The Ghana Federation has agreed to provide US$30,000 cash support to Berekum Chelsea to boost their CAF Champions League campaign.

The GFA’s Executive Committee agreed on Thursday to support Ghana’s sole representative in the continental competition to help them reach the group stage.

Berekum Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw in their first leg of the final round of qualifying for the group stage against CotonSport Garoua of Cameroon.

The club requires the support of all Ghanaians and the GFA to successfully sail through the second-leg to be played in Garoua in a fortnight.

The GFA and the entirety of Ghana Football stands to gain immensely if Berekum Chelsea makes it to the group stage.
