The Ghana Football Association has named former Ghana international, Ibrahim Tanko as the head coach for the national U-23 team.

Tanko was with the team in 2019 in Egypt when the Black Meteors finished fourth and narrowly missed out on the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

He recently guided Accra Lions FC to safety in the Ghana Premier League as the technical director of the club in their first season in the top-flight league.

He will lead the Ghana Olympic team again with the hopes of making it to the 2024 Olympics games in Paris.
