Ghana FA did not snub Stephen Keshi – Nigeria coach’s agent Addo declares

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) did not snub Stephen Keshi for the vacant Black Stars coaching position because the former Nigeria coach did apply for the job, his Ghanaian agent Emma Addo has declared.

Keshi expressed his interest in coaching the Black Stars on radio this week even though he did not apply for the post when it was advertised when Kwesi Appiah was sacked two months ago.

The GFA said they were not considering the Nigerian coach for the post because he did not apply for the job when it was advertised.

Yet the news have been spun to paint the picture that the Ghanaian football authorities have snubbed the coach implying that he application was turned down.

Ghana shunned Keshi for the vacant managerial post of the Black Stars of Ghana, Addo cleared the air by saying Keshi never applied for the job.

“To signify an interest in a job is totally different from applying for it, yes he has interest in the job but I can tell you he never applied for it.” Addo said

Ghana is likely to name its new coach by next month.
