Ghana Football Association President Kurt E. S. Okraku visited FC Samartex’s training ground ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign.
The Timbers will be traveling to Cameroon on Friday to face Victoria United in the preliminary stages of the competition on Sunday.
President Okraku shared congratulatory and motivational messages with the technical team and players at East Legon on Tuesday morning.
“Now after been the champions, you earn a spot to represent Ghana in Africa, you started your preparation few weeks ago and the day is just round ahead of your first game,” he said.
“You need to go all out as the champions of Ghana, there’s a saying that “Ghanaian knows how to play football unless we decide not to play” that alone motivate us and we need nobody to motivate us again.”
“I will say Ghanaian and the FA are behind you with full support, let go and make our nation proud.”
The winner of the game will progress to face the winner of ASGNN FC and Raja Casablanca in the next stage of the continental competition.
