Ghana concluded the 2024 football calendar year in 77th place on the FIFA World Rankings, according to the latest update.
The nation, though, has its 14th spot in the African rankings.
The Black Stars had a disappointing year dropping four places in the November rankings after a disappointing end to their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign.
Ghana previously occupied the 73rd position in October and 14th in Africa in the last two months, finding themselves behind continental giants such as Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt.
On the global front, Argentina leads the rankings, followed by France, Spain, England, and Brazil.
Ghana’s next challenge will be the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March 2025, where they’ll face Chad and Madagascar
