League Two outfit Gillingham have confirmed the return of Ghana-eligible defender Travis Akomeah on loan from Watford until season’s end.
The 20-year-old centre-back, born in London, heads back to Priestfield Stadium after an earlier stint in the first half of the campaign.
Akomeah initially joined the Gills from the Championship side and impressed enough to earn an extension for the remainder of the 2025–26 season.
”Travis Akomeah has rejoined the Gills on loan from Watford until the end of the season,” Gillingham announced the deal in a statement.
”The centre-back, 20, played eight times for the Gills earlier in the campaign during his first loan spell, making his first league start on December 6 away to Colchester United. His last appearance came against Fleetwood at Highbury on December 20. He will be available for selection for this Saturday’s league game at Harrogate.”
The former Chelsea youth player featured eight times across competitions before returning to his parent club.
Akomeah has previously represented England at U17 and U18 levels.
Despite that, he remains eligible to play for Ghana due to his heritage.
