Ghana recovered their firing guns as they secured a 3-1 win against Liberia in an International friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It was largely a second string side with Medeama SC left back Hamid Fatawu, German-zed defender Kingsley Schindler and Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth all handed starting spots.

The first half ended barren with the Black Stars dominating possession.

Ernest Nuamah broke the deadline inside seven minutes in the second half before Mohammed Kudus doubles the advantage.

Jordan Ayew emerged from the bench to put the tie beyond the reach of the visitors.

But tthe Liberians gave themselves hope by scoring a consolation in injury time.

The match serves as a test for the team as head coach Chris Hughton hopes to put the squad in shape for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
