Ghana discover WAFU B U20 fate in draw

Ghana will host the inaugural WAFU A&B U-20 Cup from June 15 to 30, 2025, in Accra.

The tournament, featuring 13 U-20 national teams from West Africa, marks a significant moment for youth football development in the region.

Ghana’s Black Satellites, drawn in Group A with Togo, Gambia, and Liberia, will have home advantage as they aim for the championship title.

The competition is a historic moment for West African football, bringing together teams from WAFU Zones A and B for the first time. Ghana sees this as an opportunity to showcase its leadership in African football and commitment to youth development. The Ghana Football Association, in collaboration with CAF, WAFU, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, promises a high-quality event that reflects the potential of West African football.

The tournament’s groupings are:

Group A: Ghana, Togo, Gambia, Liberia
Group B: Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, Mali
Group C: Senegal, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin

The event promises to be an exciting celebration of youth football talent in West Africa, with Ghana determined to make a strong impression on home soil.
