Scottish Championship club Dunfermline Athletic have completed the signing of Ghanaian centre-back Nurudeen Abdulai from Medeama SC.
The 21-year-old agreed a three-year contract with the Pars but had to wait for his visa and international clearance before making the move to Scotland. Upon arrival, the club confirmed he will wear the number 18 jersey.
“Our latest signing, Nurudeen Abdulai, has arrived at KDM Group East End Park. He will wear the number 18 shirt,” the club announced.
Abdulai is expected to train with his new teammates this week and could make his debut when Dunfermline face Arbroath on Saturday, September 13.
Before his switch, the versatile defender made 75 appearances in the Ghana Premier League for Medeama SC, where he also featured seven times in the CAF Champions League.
Medeama expressed pride in his transfer to Europe, writing: “The move to Dunfermline Athletic represents an important step in his career, and the club is proud to see him take his talents to Europe. Thank you, Nurudeen and best of luck in the land of the Pars.”
Abdulai’s strong performances in Ghana also earned him a call-up to the Black Stars during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
