Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo will be sidelined for Celta Vigo’s upcoming La Liga match against Atletico Madrid due to an injury.
Aidoo sustained an ankle injury in the 27th minute of Ghana’s international friendly against Mexico, ultimately being replaced by Alidu Seidu.
Unfortunately, Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mexico after the full ninety minutes.
Aidoo has played a pivotal role for Celta Vigo in the current season, despite the club’s challenging start.
He has featured in six out of nine matches for his team so far. His absence will be sorely felt when Celta Vigo takes on Atletico Madrid at the Municipal De Balaidos stadium this Saturday.
Aidoo is expected to be in action for the Spanish team in November.
