Ghana international, Andy Yiadom led a group of Reading players to share Christmas presents to children in the community on Wednesday, December 14.

The Reading FC captain and other teammates made the visit to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in midweek to hand out the presents ahead of the festivities.

The show of love is a continuation of the annual tradition where players from Reading FC go out to make merry during Christmas.

Others players that joined Andy Yiadom include Tom McIntyre and Shane Long. The players were in the company of head coach Tom Ince.

Reading FC players and staff hand out gifts while they visit the childrens ward at The Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.

Speaking on the club’s visit Reading FC manager Paul Ince stressed that giving out presents is very important.

“I think it’s massively important. When I first came here I don’t think we did enough of that. Football is about the fans and the community.

“We are the lucky ones. I’ve always maintained at the clubs that I’ve managed that you do the visits, you go and see the kids and show how fortunate we are.

“We shouldn’t just do it because it’s Christmas, we should do it all through the season,” Reading FC manager Paul Ince said.

This weekend, Reading FC will be in action in the English Championship when they take on Birmingham.
