Ghana international, Alidu Seidu has commenced his Stade Rennais FC career after engaging in his first training session.

The defender completed his anticipated transfer to the French Ligue 1 side on Monday, January 29.

The 23-year-old versatile defender joins from fellow French top-flight side Clermont Foot in a reported €11 million deal.

After 24 hours, Alidu Seidu has trained with his new teammates for the first time as the team prepares for their next match in the French Ligue 1 against Montpellier.

The versatile defender, capable of playing as a centre-back or as a right-back, could conceivably make his debut in the home game against Montpellier on Saturday, February 3.

Alidu Seidu, 23, was part of the Ghana squad that featured at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast.

He played just 18 minutes for Ghana at AFCON as the Black Stars crashed out at the group phase for the second successive tournament.
