Ghana defender Alexander Djiku to stay at Strasbourg despite links to Sevilla

Ghana defender Alexander Djiku is considering staying at Strasbourg next season despite being linked with a move to Spain.

The 27-year-current old’s contract expires next summer, and he has been linked with a move to Sevilla in Spain.

According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Alexander Djiku is considering staying with Starsbourg in order to have a good chance of making Ghana’s World Cup squad in 2022.

The Ghana international does not want to move and risk losing his spot with only a few months to the World Cup in Qatar.

Strasbourg will be relieved to retain their dependable center-back ahead of the new season.

Djiku made 31 appearances and scored one goal for the Ligue 1 side.

He was a member of the Black Stars team that defeated Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
