Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan believes the Black Stars will bounce back strongly and qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
Africa’s source of hope at the last two World Cup finals suffering a first round elimination at the on-going tournament in Brazil .
Ghana lost two of their Group G matches (against USA and Portugal) and drew 2-2 with Germany to finish at the foot of the table.
Gyan, who will be 32 in four years time, is optimistic they will be present for the finals to be hosted by Russia.
“No doubt about it. The fact is we’ve got a very young team, we’re still learning and we have a great future ahead of us,†Gyan told FIFA.com
“I’m one of the most experienced players in the team and I know we can come back and take the world by storm, just like we did in 2010. We’ve definitely got the talent to do that.
“Obviously I’d love to play in another World Cup.
“I’m 28 and I’m hoping to maintain my form over the next four years. If we qualify for Russia, it goes without saying that I want to be there. I hope God can protect me from injuries.â€
