Ghanaian Winger Osman Bukari is positive the Black Stars “can win” the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations after 40 years without a trophy.
Ghana came close twice to ending the drought in the last decade, 2010 in Angola – losing to Egypt in the finals and 2015 in Equatorial Guinea – lost to Ivory Coast on penalty shootout.
Speaking after Ghana’s World Cup exit from the 2022 World Cup, the Red Star Belgrade attacker believes the Black Stars can get it over the line at the next edition.
“Anything can happen. We have to put it at the back of our minds we are going to win AFCON 2024.” He told BYT Sports TV.
“We have a very young team so anything can happen though I’m not 100% sure of Ghana winning it but its football and anything can happen.”
The four-time African champions sit top of Group D with four points from the first two games of the qualifiers.
