Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper George Owu is confident about Ghana’s chances of winning the 2023 African Cup of nations to be staged in Ivory Coast next year.
The West African giants booked her tenth successive appearance at the AFCON by defeating Central African Republic 2-1 in the final game of the qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Thursday.
Ghana to finish at the top of the group with twelve points, with Angola securing the second spot.
George Owu believes that the Black Stars possess a squad of talented players capable of clinching the tournament in Ivory Coast
“This Ghana team can win the AFCON with the right support and motivation from Ghanaians”, Owu said on Onua FM in Accra.
Ghana will discover their group-stage opponents for the AFCON when the draw is conducted on October 12, 2023.
