GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie says he is shocked by the raid by the Serious Fraud Office on the premises of the Ghana Football Association while GFA spokesman Randy Abbey claimed the offices of the football association had been virtually held hostage by the security officials who say they had a search warrant for the offices. Nyantekyie arrived at the offices late and told journalists he was shocked by the raid. He did confirm that the Serious Fraud Office had requested for specific documents from the GFA which had not been delivered due to time constraints. The request, KickOffGhana.com understands is in relation to sponsorship agreements between the Ghana Football Association and other corporate bodies even though only last week, Fifa had said in a letter that government did not have a right to investigate deals between the GFA and those other bodies.
