The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a landmark broadcast agreement with Adesa Productions Limited (APL) to transform the Ghana Premier League (GPL) from the 2025/26 season.

Announced by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku at the 31st GFA Congress on August 12, 2025, the deal will deliver world-class TV production, stronger marketing, and record financial support for clubs — all with government backing.

Each of the 18 GPL clubs will now earn a minimum of GHS1 million per season, the highest payout in league history. The agreement also includes a coordinated national radio commentary strategy for the GPL, Division One League, and select Women’s Premier League matches.

“This partnership combines top-level broadcast quality with real financial rewards for our clubs,” said Simeon-Okraku. “A new dawn is with us.”

With higher production standards, better marketing, and unprecedented funding, the GPL is set for its most competitive and commercially vibrant era yet.
