The Ghana Football Association has begun enforcing its Football Academy Licensing Regulations 2025 to standardise operations nationwide.
“The GFA has approved and begun implementing the regulations to ensure proper infrastructure, staffing, child welfare and integrity,” President Kurt Okraku said at the 31st Ordinary Congress in Prampram.
Clubs using the term “Academy” have one year to comply or re-register. The rules also cover girls’, Beach Soccer and Futsal academies, aiming to protect young players and create clear development pathways.
