In search of a new trainer for the Black Stars vacant coaching job, Ghana Football Association Vice president Marko Addo has pledged they are working around the clock to “hire best coach” for the team.
The Black Stars are without a head coach following the sack of Chris Hughton from the Black Stars after the team’s disappointing performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast
According to media reports, over 600 coaches have applied for the vacant position including two home-based coaches
“This is my second time leading a committee to pick a coach, and I can tell Ghanaians that we will hire the Best coach for the Black Stars according on the criteria,” GFA vice president Mark Addo told Akoma FM.
“Nobody wants outcomes more than we (the FA), believe me; it just happens that things don’t always go as planned for various reasons, but we must keep moving forward”
A five-member committee has been instituted to recommend a new coach to the Executive Council for the Football Association in 21 days.
